Saya pernah menggilai lagu ni satu ketika dulu. Pertama kali saya dengar lagu nyanyian After 7 ciptaan Babyface ni, rasa syok gila! Mungkin pada tahun 1989/1990 kot (masa tu saya bukan bersekolah rendah, tapi form 4/5... hehe) Woow... tat is almost 20 years ago!

Melodi lagu ni mmg mendayu... liriknya pun lentok abis la kiranya... sesuai la utk pasangan yg hangat bercinta... hehe

Tapi kalau hayati lirik lagu ni... secara logik dan waras... saya terfikir beberapa perkara.

1) Why would I want to be given the sun, the rain, the moon, the stars and the mountain??? Awat la nak menyusahkan diri? Nak buat apa matahari, hujan, bulan, bintang, gunung ganang, segala... it's not tat I want to rule the world!

2) Why should you climb the highest hill, cross the widest sea?? Tak gayat ke? Pandai sgt ke berenang?? Swimming pool 1 meter tu pun belum tentu boleh lepas...

3) Why do you have to walk a thousand miles, sail a thousand seas?? Nak jadi peserta marathon ke nak bercinta? Nak belayar macam Datuk Azhar Mansor? Tak mabuk laut ke nanti?



But still, I must admit... there are a few beautiful lines in this lyrics (yg saya bold kan tu!) Yang pada pendapat saya, boleh diterima dek akal... yg boleh digunapakai, yg berpijak di bumi nyata, bukan di awang-awangan, quite rationale.

If you love someone, you might want to give everything, not just anything...and you will always pray tat he/she will be there for you... forever more. You cant get enough, so you'll just wait for his/her love... there's nothing elso that you'd rather do, anyway!
